Alloy 20 Flanges, also known as Carpenter 20, are specifically engineered to provide superior resistance to acid attack, particularly in environments containing sulfuric acid. Manufactured under ASTM B462 (forged) and UNS N08020 specifications, this "Super" stainless steel alloy contains a stabilized chemistry of Nickel, Chromium, and Copper, along with Niobium to prevent intergranular corrosion. These flanges are indispensable in the chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and food industries where harsh chemical reagents would rapidly degrade standard stainless steel grades.
