ASTM B564 Hastelloy B2 Flanges are crafted from a nickel-molybdenum alloy that offers exceptional resistance to reducing environments, such as hydrogen chloride gas, and sulfuric, acetic, and phosphoric acids. Identified by the designation UNS N10665, Hastelloy B2 is distinguished by its significant resistance to hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures ranging from ambient to boiling. This makes these flanges an indispensable component in chemical processing industries where aggressive reducing acids are frequently handled.

Our Hastelloy B2 weld neck, slip-on, blind, and socket weld flanges are manufactured in strict compliance with ASTM B564 for forged materials and ASME B16.5 dimensional standards. Unlike earlier alloys, Hastelloy B2 has a low carbon and silicon content that significantly reduces the precipitation of carbides in the weld heat-affected zone, ensuring the integrity of the flange in the as-welded condition.
